Red Campion (Silene Diocia)

A hairy perennial with bright pink flowers and notched petals. Male and female flowers are found on different plants, with the male flower being slightly smaller. Seeds are produced in flask-like capsules and the flowering period is from March to October. It’s habitat is in rich soils, usually hedgerows and woodland rides and in shaded areas.
