Corncockle (Agrostemma Githago)

A tall annual with large pink-purple flowers that was introduced to Britain in the Iron Age but is now almost extinct in the wild. Flowering from June until July, it’s habitat is rye and fallow fields, dry banks, wasteland, railways and harbour’s.
